Joining is not an order

Signing up puts your email on a list. It is not a purchase, a pre-order or a reservation. No money changes hands, no payment details are collected and you are under no obligation to buy anything, ever.

The founder price

If and when CloakMind Tape goes on sale, early access members get the founder price of 99,90 € rather than the planned retail price of 119,90 € - a saving of 20 €. It is tied to the email address you signed up with, is for one device, and can't be exchanged for cash.

Both figures are current plans, not a binding offer. Hardware costs can move, and if they do we'll tell the list rather than quietly change this page. We'll email you how to buy at the founder price when orders open, valid for the window stated in that email.

Subscription and your own API key

CloakMind Tape connects to AI that runs in the cloud, which costs money to operate. You can either subscribe to CloakMind AI or configure your own compatible API key and pay your own provider instead. The first month of CloakMind AI is planned to be included with the device.

Plan prices shown on the site are planned and not final. They will be confirmed before launch.

What we can't promise

There is no launch date, no confirmed shipping regions and no guaranteed stock, because none of those things have been decided. CloakMind Tape is a prototype in development. It's possible that it never reaches production - if that happens we'll tell the list honestly and delete it.

Being on the list does not guarantee you a unit. It means we email you first, and the first production run is small.

Order of the list

When orders open we contact the list in the order people joined. Referring someone who joins and confirms their email moves you up that order. Referrals only count once the person you referred confirms their address, and referring yourself doesn't count.

Acceptable use of the device

CloakMind Tape is built for studying, revision, reading printed material and assessments where the institution, course or teacher expressly permits this kind of assistance. Using it where the rules don't permit it breaks those rules and is your responsibility, not ours. We don't design, market or support it for that.

Leaving

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can email hello@getcloakmind.com to be removed at any time. Leaving the list gives up the founder price.

Changes and legal review

If these terms change in a way that affects you, we'll say so in an email to the list rather than quietly editing this page. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer; they will be before the first sale.
